Stevie Russell signs to Partizan
David Knight - 4th Apr 2014
Stevie Russell, director of the acclaimed videos for Kodaline's All I Want and High Hopes, has signed to Partizan for music videos and commercials.
The Dublin-born director, who trained as a cinematographer, gained widespread attention for his beautifully judged narrative for Kodaline's All I Want (above) - featuring a winning performance by Stevie himself as the facially-disfigured man bullied by his fellow workers. The 2012 video was followed last year by All I Want Part 2 - a sequel to the first video for the same track.
In between those, he directed another gripping narrative, heartstring-tugging video for Kodaline -Â High Hopes, starring Liam Cunningham.Â
Stevie has also directed a number of ads in Ireland, including an award-winning ad for Irish Road Safety, SME and Wrangler.Â
He is the latest of several additions to the Partizan music video roster in recent weeks, following Aitor Throup and A Nice Idea Every Day.
