For the first time in years, the BRIT Awards is honouring music videos. A new award for Best British Video will be presented at the BRIT Awards 2014 next Wednesday, February 19th, and for the first time at the BRITS the winner will be chosen by social media during the show. The nominations - based on numbers of official YouTube views – are:

The voting system - fans will be able to vote for their favourite video during the show on February 19th via Twitter - is a first for any major awards ceremony. It will also be open to fans outside the UK, as the Brit Awards 2014 will be streamed live on YouTube.
