James Rhodes, director and shooter of live performance videos for Haim (pictured above), Jonathan Wilson, Rae Morris, Matt Corby, Diane Vickers and others, has joined the directors roster at Burning Reel.

Previously working through Leeds-based The Blind Club, James has nurtured a cinematic style of shooting live performances working as both director and DoP, closing the gap between regular live shoot and music video. His latest video is a stripped-back performance video for Morning Parade's Alienation for So Records.

"Burning Reel are really hyped about working with James," says Joe Elliott at Burning Reel. "He has built up an exceptional reputation for directing and shooting in his own unique style. We love his work as it gives the audience a rare, hugely intimate and stripped down connection with the artist, which can sometimes become lost in music videos."
