Caspar Balslev joins Black Dog Films and RSA in the UK
Danish director Caspar Balslev, the eye behind distinctive videos for the likes of Marina & The Diamonds, The Presets, Oh My!, Fenech-Soler, This Floor Is Made Of Lava and M0, has joined Black Dog Films for music video representation in the UK, and sister company RSA Films for commercials.
It represents Caspar's full move to Black Dog and RSA outside of Denmark, after being represented by the companies in the US for the past year or so. Up to this point he has been represented in the UK by Love Promos for music videos and Love Commercial Production Company for commercials.
The move comes shortly after his selection for the prestigious Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors Showcase at Cannes Lions in June 2013 - even though his beautifully composed and visceral photographic style came to the attention of Promo News back in 2008, with his videos for Hatesphere and The Presets. His video for Marina & the Diamonds' Prima Donna (above) was one of the most viewed on Promo last year.
Caspar has also directed several acclaimed fashion films for menswear designer Han Kjøbenhavn. He remains repped in Denmark by Spoiled Productions.
Greg Barth, the Swiss-born, UK-based artist and director, has joined Friends Electric - the London & LA-based creative studio and sister company to Electric Theatre Collective.
Maurizio Von Trapp has joined Academy Films to head up the music department at the London-based production company.
Sundance award-winner Dylan Holmes Williams has signed to Stink Films new directing talent roster Stink Rising, to be represented for music videos and commercials in the UK.
