BRTHR sign to FreeAgent for worldwide representation
BRTHR Films, precocious directors of acclaimed videos for I/O, Tak-Ku, Doldrum, Angel Haze, Cris Cab, and others, have signed to FreeAgent UK for worldwide representation for music videos.
NYC-based BRTHR are Japan-born Alex Lee (20) and Long Islander Kyle Wightman (21) who met in film school, then dropped out to launch BRTHR (pronounced ‘brother’) in autumn 2012 to make music videos. Their DIY, lo-fi combination of live action, FX work and hyper-kinetic editing has quickly led to them making a succession of increasingly successful videos.
Excellent videos for Cris Cab’s Paradise and Ta-Ku’s Diamond Mouth, and an official remix cut of the Emily Kai Bock-directed video for Doldrums’ She Is The Wave, have preceded their biggest video to date for I/O’s Wasted My Time. They are now currently on location in India directing a new video for Iggy Azalea.
“I am beyond ecstatic to announce signing BRTHR to FreeAgent for worldwide representation,” says FreeAgent MD Alexa Haywood. “They are amazing. The future is bright the future is BRTHR.”
Doomsday Entertainment have boosted their directing roster with the addition of long-admired directing team Lamar+Nik and up-and-coming talent Michael Parks Randa.
