OB management are now representing the directing roster of leading London production company Sonny, for music videos. The move comes after Sonny's recent signing of two well-known directors in the promo world: Dawn Shadforth and Ryan Hope. Having originally begun her career as a sculptor, Dawn Shadforth emerged as a significant force in music videos in the late Nineties with her groundbreaking work for All Seeing Eye, Basement Jaxx and others – and then creating such iconic work as Kylie Minogue's Can't Get You Outta My Head, Goldfrapp's Ooh La La, and Bjork's Who Is It. More recently she has worked with artists as diverse as Hurts, Florence and the Machine, and Emeli Sandé. By contrast, Ryan Hope has established himself in the past three years with an impressive reel of music videos for artists including Alpines, Bombay Bicycle Club, Groove Armada and George Michael. In the past year has seen the release of his documentary Skin, and his fashion film for River Island. Most recently he has directed the video for US rapper Wiz Khalifa's Remember You (right). OB are also repping several other members of the Sonny directors roster, who are making an impact with their music video work: Mister Whitmore has made waves in the hip-hop urban world with the video for Thurz' Colourz; Nick Rutter's video for Rudi Zyglado's Melpomene was nominated at this year's UK Music Video Awards; Stevie Russell's emotional video for Kodaline's All I Want became a viral sensation almost overnight; and Paul Geusebroek is gaining a reputation for being on the cusp of youth culture with his work for Nike and Diesel.
