NME Awards nominations announced - Arcade Fire, Brandon, Gorillaz, Chase & Status and MCR up for best video

The nominations for the 2011 Shockwaves NME Awards have been announced, with Arcade Fire looking well set with four nominations, including for Best Video for We Used To Wait - aka The Wilderness Downtown interactive video by Chris Milk and Aaron Koblin.
Two vids with movie star cameos are also nominated: Brandon Flowers' Crossfire by Nash Edgerton (Charlize Theron), and Jamie Hewlett and Pete Candeland's blockbuster for Gorillaz Stylo (Bruce Willis). And also thirtytwo's Jeremy Kyle-meets-Smack My Bitch Up for Chase & Status (above). My Chemical Romance's unhinged vid for Na Na Na by Roboshobo and singer Gerard Way make up the five.

The winner will be announced at the ceremony at the O2 Academy Brixton on February 23.
