The entry deadline for many of the awards at the UK Music Video Awards 2010, set for tomorrow, August 3rd, has just been extended to this Friday, August 6th.

This will be the final deadline for 17 of this year's UK Music Video Awards in the best video, technical achievement and other categories.

The Best Video awards are for several music genres - pop, rock, dance, urban and indie/alternative - plus two budget awards for videos made for £2K or less. The Technical Achievement awards honour the best work in a video in the fields of animation, art direction, cinematography, editing, styling, telecine and visual effects. Other awards celebrate the best work in shortform music advertising and longform live music coverage.
Videos need to be British in some way and have been completed and delivered to their commissioner by July 31 2010. The MVAs are also accepting entries for the Innovation Award - honouring work that extends the definition of music video - which is now open to international as well as British work.
In order to make your entry, download the entry forms from the MVAs website, or here. Cost of entry is the same as last year - £40 plus vat for the entry, and £25 plus vat admin fee (one per video, regardless of the number of categories entered) to Beam, who are running the MVAs online judging platform once again this year.

"We are delighted to once again be hosting the online awards entry platform for the UK Music Video Awards," says Colin Avery of Beam. "This year's event marks the third year that Beam and the UKMVA have collaborated in showcasing the most creative, innovative and technically excellent work from the across the music video industry."

When all entries are uploaded to the judging platform, the first round of judging for the 2010 MVAs will then commence during the week of August 16th - carried out by the MVAs Jury Members, an electoral college of members of the British music video industry and affiliate industries. If you not an MVA Jury Member and wish to apply to become one, please contact Louise Stevens at louise@ukmva.com.
