The entry deadline for a wide range of categories at the UK Music Video Awards - the best video awards, the technical achievement categories, and a few more - is now less than one week away.
The deadline is next Tuesday, August 3rd, and all the categories and their entry forms can be found on the UK MVAs website or here.

They include all the awards that were contested at last year's second annual MVAs - you can view all of last year's winners here. They fall into two main groups, the best video and technical achievement awards, with a few more additional honours.

? Technical Achievement awards There are seven Technical Achievement awards, which each honour an individual (or more than one individual) for the creativity and technical prowess of their work on a specific music video in the following areas of expertise: animation, art direction, cinematography, editing, styling, telecine, visual effects.
At least one of those listed on the entry form as potential recipients must be British, or the video itself must be a UK-commissioned work.

The remaining awards for which entries are welcomed are as follows:

? Best Music Ad (TV and/or Online) This award honours the most creative piece of moving image promotion for a music artist, product, company or service produced in the UK in the past year, or outside the UK for a British commissioning client. Entries may include traditional TVCs, virals, promotional shorts or any other moving image works designed for the TV, web or mobile environment and which promote music or music clients.

? The Innovation Award This award recognizes work that extends the definition of the medium of music video, either through an innovative concept or design, or through the innovative use of technology. This may include interactive music videos, or other web- or mobile-based creations, as well as innovative TV and online music visual campaigns and special projects.

Music videos for all the above awards have been completed and delivered to the commissioning client between August 1 2009 and July 31 2010. More entry terms, plus details of the judging process, are on the entry forms.

The UK Music Video Awards 2010 will be at the Odeon West End, Leicester Square in London on Tuesday, October 12th. Booking forms for tickets are also available at www.ukmva.com.
