Adam Buxton defends 6Music on Channel Four News

David Knight - 3rd Mar 2010

Adam was interviewed on Channel Four News last night by (Adam & Joe fan) Jon Snow, together with Bobby Friction of the BBC Asian Network - also headed for the chop - to discuss Thompson's proposals for cutting back BBC services, including the two digital radio stations. With Thompson in the studio, Adam asked him whether the cuts were a "fait accompli or whether the BBC will listen to people's opinions if they're offered to the BBC Trust online". He added he did not understand why it was necessary to get rid of a station in the name of quality "when it's a station working really well and that people seem to love... It seems to be doing everything that the BBC wants to do best." Go Adam!
