The judging process has begun for the main video categories in the UK Music Video Awards 2009. Just under 300 Jury Members have been invited to take part in the first round judging which will see around 450 videos vying for the trophies.

Just under 300 Jury Members have been invited to take part in the first round judging which will see around 450 videos vying for the trophies. First round judging continues until <strong>September 14th</strong>, when longlists will be drawn in each of the main video categories to proceed to round 2. Live judging sessions with a select number of Jury Members will follow to create the final shortlists, due to be released on September 24th. Judging for two of the new categories, Best Live Music Coverage and The Innovation Award, will take place in live sessions to be held in the second week of September when judges will be given the opportunity to review the entries in full. <strong>Tickets for the UK Music Video Awards 2009, to be held at the ODEON West End on October 13th are on sale now, and can be purchased using the ticket form posted on the UK MVA <a href="http://www.ukmva.com/">website</a>.</strong>
