The entry deadline for the 2009 UK Music Video Awards, set for this Thursday, August 13th, has just been extended to next Tuesday, August 18th. This new deadline - one week from today - is the final deadline for 17 of this year's MVA categories, before all the best video, technical achievement and other entries are uploaded to the MVA's online judging platform - administered by BEAM TV. It's the second year in succession that the MVAs' very successful judging platform - used for first-round judging at the MVAs - has been established and run by BEAM TV, one of the world's leading digital distribution networks. Cosmo Spens, head of BEAM.TV Awards says "With the BEAM.TV system, MVA entrants are able to submit their entries directly from their desktop, allowing a jury of industry experts to decide the shortlist and winners through our digital judging platform. It is an exciting time in the Music Video industry and we are delighted to be working with the MVA's again this year." The first round of judging for this year's MVAs will then commence during the week of August 24th - carried out by the MVAs Jury Members - an electoral college of members of the British music video industry and affiliate industries. If you wish to apply to become an MVA Jury Member, please contact Louise Stevens at louise@ukmva.com.
