James Hackett becomes EMI's new director of video

Video commissioner at Sony Music until a few days ago (here pictured with Newton Faulkner on his final Sony job in LA last week), James assumes the reins at EMI's video commissioning department - responsible for music video commissioning for all EMI labels including Parlophone and Virgin - this morning (July 13th). James joins EMI after six years at Sony (previously Sony BMG), where he commissioned videos for Will Young, Mark Ronson, Glasvegas, Ting Tings, Groove Armada, the aforementioned Faulkner, and many more. He was nominated for best video commissioner at the inaugural UK Music Video Awards last year. His new email is james.hackett@emimusic.com.
