Selections for the official competition at this year's Rushes Soho Shorts Festival have now been announced, including 30 music videos that will be competing for the best music video award at RSSF 2009.

Selections for the official competition at this year's Rushes Soho Shorts Festival have now been announced, including 30 music videos that will be competing for the best music video award at RSSF 2009. All the nominated videos - ranging from no-budget pieces to high-end work, made in the past 12 months or so - are listed <strong><a href="http://www.sohoshorts.com/#/50">here</a></strong>. RSSF 2009 runs from July 22nd to 31st, screening works from all over the world in the categories of short film, newcomer, music video, documentary, broadcast design, animation and - introduced for the first time this year, both showcasing fictional work - long form and international. Winners of each category competition will be announced at the awards night bash on July 30th. RSSF is also holding various events outside the official competition, and the full festival line-up and programme will be announced on Monday June 22nd. Rushes have also created a promo for this year's event, including their own version of the iconic J. Arthur Rank title sequence, conceived by Paul White and directed by Trevor De Silva - featuring the actual Rank gong. Watch the 'J.
