Festival International Arts du Clip is returning for it's fifth outing next February, with another four-day gathering of music video-related special screenings, retrospectives, seminars and social events in the lovely southern French town of Aix-en-Provence. As at previous Festivals du Clip, the event will revolve around a competition for videos produced in 2008, divided into three sections: International, French and Newcomer. To enter the 2009 Festival competition, download the 'Register Form' and Competition rules and regulations from the Festival website. The deadline for entry to the 2009 Festival is December 31st 2008. Entered videos will then go through a preliminary selection process, and selected 'finalists' will all be shown in full and judged by a special jury before a prizegiving on the last night of the Festival. Supported by French video production association SPPAM, Festival International Arts du Clip "aims to foster a new creative impetus, a new look at the music video in itself and explore new patterns through economic status of audiovisual work". Festival du Clip, open to professionals and general public alike, takes place from February 12th to 15th.
