Blimp sign Steiger Levine, Popcore and Sweeney

Having made some significant directorial signings over the summer such as Marcus Adams, Diane Martel, Joe Tucker and Nez, Colonel Blimp have now made further additions to the roster. Blimp have just signed Montreal-based director Benjamin Steiger Levine for music video representation in the UK. Steiger Levine has created one of the most brilliant special effects videos of the year – and a massive YouTube hit – with his clip for You Are Never Alone by Socalled (pictured right). The London production company – music video arm of commercials house Blink, and also home to the likes of Dougal Wilson, Sarah Chatfield, Ben Ib, OneInThree and Simon Willows – has also added Swedish team Popcore to the roster, whose stylish combination of live action and effects work has graced videos for North European acts like Saosin, Norma Jean and Laleh. And Colonel Blimp have also welcomed back Chris Sweeney – former directing partner of Sarah Chatfield in the Blimp-repped Welcome Committee – as a solo director. He just directed Kissaway Trail’s 61 – featured here on Promo News – and has just delivered a brand new clip for Bella Union act Ghost Frequency.
