James Smith 'Hollow (acoustic)' by Gregg Houston
Rob Ulitski - 25th Sept 2019
James Smith introduces an acoustic version of Hollow, in this live session directed by Gregg Houston.
Packed full of raw emotion, DoP Darren Ladburry utilises the abundance of natural light and grungy interiors to mirror the themes of the track, creating a hollow space in which Smith can work out his emotions, and try to build himself up again after a run of disappointment.
GREGG HOUSTON:
"I had the pleasure of working with James in the past on a session and found him a dream to work with. We tried to step it up this time and be a little more ambitious visually as well as by tackling three songs in one day. We just about managed it and this is the first of the performances to make it out."
