Selena Gomez 'Bad Liar' by Jesse Peretz

Selena Gomez 'Bad Liar' by Jesse Peretz

Selena Gomez has a thing for Selena Gomez, but there's no way it'll happen because Selena Gomez only has eyes for Selena Gomez in Jesse Peretz video for... well, honestly I forget who.

It's High School in the 70s and Selena Gomez is struggling through as a quiet, bookish type, whilst also playing her own parents, her slightly creepy teacher, and the captain of the cheerleading squad. I think they call that 'doing an Eddie Murphy' (no, not that Eddie Murphy thing - like The Nutty Professor or something).

Best known for his recent work directing Girls, Peretz and Gomez have some fun with Gomez's image in this video (although perhaps not quite to the extent that Harmony Korine did five years ago) and create a playful period piece - much in the vein of Peretz's work with the Foo Fighters, back in the day.
