Lady Gaga is back in true bombastic, daredevilish form for her new video John Wayne, directed by Jonas Akerlund.

The frenzied Tarantino-flavoured clip sees the songstress with an incurable need for speed, gathering more and more momentum as she trades in racehorse for motorcycle for a car lurching forward towards complete oblivion - all told in zany, neon drenched, and entirely over-the-top fashion.

Its a telltale story of a self-destructive romance where star-crossed lovers cavort, drink and bring out each others' thrill-seeking side as libidinous fuel for an exhilarating and short-lived passion.
