The Magic Gang 'Feeling Better' by Afloat
David Knight - 19th Jan 2016
If you thought synchronised swimming was a team activity... well, it's hardly surprising, the clue is in the name, isn't it? But as it turns out, according to this video for The Magic Gang's Feeling Better, not necessarily.Â
Directed by Jennifer Sheridan and Matthew Markham – who go by the appropriate name of Afloat – a young swimmer surprises her fellow pool users by breaking into some scintillating synchro moves. She's played by 18 year old British solo synchronized swimmer Genevieve Randall, in this entertaining and stylishly-shot video.Â
Sheridan and Markham have won awards for their short films, including the Virgin Media Shorts Grand Prize in 2012 for Rocket, and Best London Filmmakers 2014 at the WISFF for Catch. This is also impressive - graced by some lovely saturated colour photography by Richard Jones.
