James's Moving On is not only a triumphant return to form for the Manchester band, it's accompanied by a wonderful music video. It's a remarkable work of stop-motion animation by Ainslie Henderson, who has fashioned a hugely emotional story about death and renewal, out of yellow yarn.
Ainslie is a BAFTA winner - he picked up the BAFTA New Talent Award in 2012 for his short film It's About Spending Time Together, and won numerous accolades for his film I Am Tom Moody, including the Special Jury Award at Annecy 2013. And this shows what a talent he is. Making characters, and everything else, from wool, is no impediment for him expressing the emotion of his deathbed scene. Quite the opposite: he shows a life unravelling, and then delivers a spiritual message. Very special indeed.
