A co-directing credit involving Sophie Muller is rare indeed - but here we have Sophie, one of the greats, working with a relative newcomer, Ross McDowell, on the video for Katy B's Crying For No Reason. But take a look, and you can see why it happened, and how it's created a video of rare emotion for a studio shoot.

Sophie has all the experience in the world to capture a poised performance by Katy B. But Ross knows his projections, as he's proved in videos like Disclosure's F For You (co-directed with Ben Murray), and the projections provide the scale and power to reflect the emotion of the song around the calm centre of the singer.
