Natalie Arnett has joined Riff Raff Films as the company's new head of music video, leading the Riff Raff music video roster including The Sacred Egg, Luke Monaghan, Ben Reed, Casey & Ewan, David Altobelli, Megaforce, Francois Roussellet and Ryan Staake (in the UK).
Having previously worked as a video commissioner for several labels, including Warner Bros Records, Mercury, Virgin EMI, Infectious and Atlantic, and working with an eclectic mix of artists including Bloc Party, Iggy Azalea and Interpol, Arnett arrives at Riff Raff having spent the past two years as executive producer at Untitled. She brings directors Charlotte Rutherford, In/Out, and Finn Keenan with her from Untitled, who are joining the company's 'new talent' division, Nursery of Evil.
"I’ve admired what Riff Raff has been doing in the world of music videos for some time, and it’s home to some of my favourite directors. So as you can imagine, I'm over the moon to be working with them all. I want to continue to drive groundbreaking creative with their current directors as well as developing new talent in the Nursery of Evil," says Natalie Arnett, who also maintains an ongoing relationship as a video commissioner for Jake Bugg and Marina and the Diamonds.
Matt Fone, MD at Riff Raff, adds that Arnett made a compelling case to be the company's new head of music video and creative development. “I did not want Natalie to join, but then she showed me the goldfish rucksack and I changed my mind," he says. "Funny how that happens sometimes.”
