NYSU, the Madrid-based creative collective led by director Jesus Hernandez, have signed to Somesuch in London for worldwide representation for commercials and music videos outside of Spain.
NYSU is a largely self-taught group of artists have been creating original work together for over a decade, making a number of inventive music videos in that time, using elements of surrealism, in-camera visual effects and leftfield humour.
The collective’s promo Todo el Tiempo for Spanish band Glez was screened at the Mediterranean Biennale of Thessaloniki, and their well-received video for Wild Beasts’ Wanderlust, released earlier this year, has had over a million YouTube views.
Another UK commission this year for Radiohead drummer Philip Selway's solo track Coming Up For Air, was featured at BUG last month, and NYSU also recently created a 40-minute short film for the band Archive that was exhibited at Sundance London.
