Scissor Sisters’ Invisible Light by Nicolás Méndez/CANADA
David Knight - 15th Dec 2010
Nicolás Méndez of Barcelona-based directing collective Canada directed the video for El Guincho's Bombay, caused a sensation, and Canada signed to Partizan outside Spain. Now comes the first non-Spanish commission - for Scissor Sisters.
Nothing whatsoever has been lost in translation. Welcome to an extravaganza of psycho-sexual surrealism, provocative imagery and rampant eroticism. Its even more remarkable than Bombay, with a delirious climax that includes the song's contribution from Sir Ian McKellen, as delivered by a mad psychoanalyst.
Its completely nuts, yet amazing with extraordinary imagery, and is probably going to upset the Daily Mail. Did I mention that it's quite sexy
