Hot Chip’s One Life Stand by Roel Wouters

Hot Chip’s One Life Stand by Roel Wouters

David Knight - 15th Jan 2010

Hot Chip bravely embrace a Roel Wouters filmed experiment.
Roel supplies them with a space, a camera or two, and one of his favourite shiny round objects - and then he leaves the band to it, to basically make their own music video.

It might not be that easy to get your head around it at first, but basically what looks like it was shot from above was actually shot from the ground, looking up. And it gets better each time you watch it. It's the first of two new ones from Roel - the other, for Dutch band C-Mon & Lipsky is another genuine first. It'll be here soon.
