Kate Cox directs a sensual story of friendship for singer-songwriter Gilone, shot in Corsica.Set over a balmy weekend on the Mediterranean island, the video for Tight explores the line between reality and memory as all the colours of friendship play out for Gilone and her holiday companion.Cox, the director of short films Vert, Torr and Queen Of The Sea and the feature film Into The Deep, creates a soothing atmosphere in this gorgeous setting, keeping the story from Gilone's perspective, aided by lovely cinematography by Vlad Barin - who also graded the video at Studio RM - and the edit by Leah Burton at Final Cut.The result is an alluring showcase for the Guadalupe-born, London-based musician.

Arnaud Uyttenhove has created an imaginative and highly evocative eight-minute short film to accompany Belgian art-rock band Ghinzu's long-awaited fourth studio album, that captures the beauty and bruises of youth.Rather than following the conventions of a traditional music video, Uyttenhove film for the new Ghinzu album W.O.W.A - which was filmed in Belgium and Italy - unfolds as a collection of cinematic fragments, anonymous portraits, fleeting encounters and suspended moments that together form an intimate exploration of youth, identity and emotional vulnerability.Set across a seemingly endless summer between friends, the film occupies the space between possibility and uncertainty. Faces and identities shift throughout. It is never entirely clear who we are watching, what connects them, or even whether some of the characters might be members of the band themselves. Theambiguity is deliberate, allowing individual moments to become something more universal.“Through anonymous portraits and fleeting moments, the piece explores universal emotions and struggles tied to youth, where everything still feels possible, yet the first cracks already begin to appear,” says Uyttenhove.The film draws on the themes and visual identity surrounding W.O.W.A - Ghinzu's first studio album in17 years - but exists as a piece of filmmaking in its own right. Today is the final day to enter the UK Music Video Awards 2026, as the entry deadline for this year's UKMVAs expires at midnight tonight (August 6th).Among 39 categories that can be entered, entries are being accepted to some of the most prestigious honours at the UKMVAs, for the Individual and Company Awards. The Individual and Company Awards are as follows: Best DirectorBest New DirectorBest ProducerBest Executive ProducerBest AgentBest Creative CommissionerBest Production CompanyIn each case the award is given for a body of work over the past year, from August 1st 2025 to August 6th 2026. There is a slight crossover with the eligibility dates for last year's awards, but work that was entered last year cannot be entered again this year.For each individual or group who are submitted for an Individual Award, or for entries to the Company award, videos must be entered with the submission: a minimum of two videos for entries into Best Director and Best New Director; a minimum of three videos for Best Producer; a minimum of five videos for Best Executive Producer and Best Commissioner; and a minimum of five videos for Best Production Company.
