Above & Beyond’s On A Good Day by Steve Glashier

Steve Glashier's brave promo for Above & Beyond's next single On A Good Day was shot in Detroit. "The concept was to document a community in the now impoverished city and in doing so give something back in the process" explains Glashier.

"The concept was to document a community in the now impoverished city and in doing so give something back in the process" explains Glashier. "Thus the community garden project was born. Taking inspiration from the work of local pioneers who had only recently set up their own urban farms and community garden projects we set about buying a plot of land and transforming it over the course of one day into a garden open to all. "Most of the budget was spent on the creation of the garden while the style of the promo itself was to evoke the feel of TV challenge shows or similar reality programs yet present it in a slicker way. The video brought together local volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds to get the project completed and at the end of the event the ownership of the garden was handed over to the community itself".
