Kanye West’s Paranoid by Nabil

David Knight - 12th June 2009

An inspired take on 40s/50s B movie dream-imagery - a bit horror, a lot noir, cute miniatures, and Rihanna as very cute eye candy - from Kanye's new favourite collaborator Nabil Elderkin.

Nabil, after his 'data-mosh' Kanye video for Welcome To Heartbreak, and his fine video for the Kanye-produced Mr Hudson, is on a roll. He's also recently directed an intensely well-designed vid for intense African rapper K'naan's T.I.A. By hooking up with some clever VFX folks - for Paranoid, the impressive team at Ghost Town Media - Nabil's taking his directing to a whole new level. The only downside here being that this isn't actually Kanye covering Black Sabbath.
