Homespun focusses on roster of emerging editing talent

London-based editing house Stitch has announced that its sibling company Homespun is becoming the home for it's next generation of editors.
Since it's launch in 2014, Homespun has had a projects-led focus, championing music promo and short film work. That focus is now changing to its editors, with a streamlined roster of assistant editors producing fresh work in partnership with up-and-coming directors and producers. Meanwhile, the main roster of established editors’ music video, and short film projects will now be produced through Stitch.
The new roster of editors includes Laura Reyes, Chris Hutchings, Luke Anderson, Laura Zvarikova, and Ruoyu Ou. Each brings a unique perspective to the cutting room, editing with rising talent the likes of Ato Yankey, Freddie Cattaneo, Iain Simpson, Emma Parkinson, Holly Hunter, Juilet Klottrup and many more.
As part of its commitment to fostering new voices, Homespun’s short film competition, Yarns, has served as an invaluable platform for the assistant editors to work with first-time directors. The initiative has allowed them to help shape bold new visions and build long-lasting creative relationships that continue to evolve as these directors’ careers progress.
Speaking about this new era for Homespun, co-owner and editor Leo King says: “For the past decade, Homespun has been a creative hub for taking risks on exciting ideas. This new focus will be a great opportunity for our talented assistant editors to spread their wings.”
