BUG 18: WhoMadeWho’s Keep Me In My Plane by William Stahl

Bestselling author - check; wealthy businessman - check; garlanded actor - check; Nobel prize winner - you betcha... But WhoMadeWho lead singer Tomas Höffting demonstrates that all the success in the world cannot quite fill the hollowness within.

But WhoMadeWho lead singer Tomas Höffting demonstrates that all the success in the world cannot quite fill the hollowness within. William Stahl on making the video for WhoMadeWho's Keep Me In My Plane "We were commissioned to do this video by WhoMadeWho's management last summer. We had made a very successful viral music video for them for a band called Figurines and they wanted to work with us again. I listened a lot to the track, and got this feeling of totally detached emotions. I heard it a million times more, to my girlfriends great pleasure at first and then slight irritation, and finally got to thinking about a man who couldn't feel anything despite of his huge successes. "We developed the idea and presented it to the band who loved it right away. They gave us a totally free hand, and the lead singer gave us seven days of his time to shoot it. We had the most fun I can remember shooting this video, for a very limited budget. "We shot it very guerrilla-style, just me, Michael the creative producer and Thomas the photographer and no crew whatsoever. That meant we could move very fast and efficient, and be allowed to shoot almost everywhere since we took up almost no space. The video has been a great succes, and garnered some very positive feedback. It was important for me that the video actually has something to say, and it is a very personal video for me."
