BUG 41 - the videos
The first BUG show of 2014 came right at the end of February – and it was also the first to be presented by special guest host Ben Bailey Smith, aka Doc Brown – above with the special guest at BUG 41, Josh Cole.
Doc took to the whole thing like a fish to water - and brought some brand new features to the show, including 'Singalonga Shitbags' - his lyrics added to incidental music in well-known movies.
And there were some very good music videos: Sam Pilling's story of domestic deceit for J Cole; Arno Salters real and surreal party vid for Burning House; Tom Haines' psychological dancefloor nightmare for Jon Hopkins; Emile Sornin's mutant David Brent for Disclosure; some serious willy-waggling from Nick Offerman for FIDLAR... And lots more.
Last but certainly not least, Josh Cole, one of the UK's most exciting directors, talked to Doc in both of our double-bill of shows on February 28th, giving an insight into his work for Rudimental, Chase & Status and others – and the audience could check for themselves how he is setting new standards for visual storytelling.
