Ollie Wolf has created a very entertaining video for London-based producer Fabich's debut single by applying a comic solution to an everyday problem, and then pushing it to wonderfully absurd lengths.

When a young lady gives her boyfriend the push, he refuses to accept the inevitable. And from then on, whether it's walking, shopping, sleeping, or going to the toilet, she's accompanied by a human ball and chain - her ex. And that goes on even when she finds a brand new love...

“For the music video, we wanted to do something fun and different," says Fabich, whose track Hold On, with Josh Barry on vocals, is his debut single after crafting hits for the likes of Lyfe Jennings and Trina. "When we made the record, I didn’t want it to feel like a classic love song and that’s why I didn’t want to make a classic love song video. My team and I decided to contact Ollie Wolf who has done some amazing and unique videos.”

Shot around East London, Wolf delivers this comedy with superb conviction, directing excellent performances from his leads - in particular Ed Coleman as the deluded but determined ex, showing great comic timing.

From the director

OLLIE WOLF:

“I think most people have had relationships that they have struggled to let go of. So, I was intrigued to explore a hyperbolic version of that for Hold On. The absurdity of an ex literally not letting go made me laugh. And it was a super simple idea I knew we could have fun with.”
