Jasmine Thompson 'Old Friends' by Favourite Colour: Black

Jasmine Thompson 'Old Friends' by Favourite Colour: Black

Favourite Colour: Black's latest video for British singer Jasmine Thompson is a peaceful, nostalgic portrait of youth.

Cutting between a sparse piano performance in an old, hazy function room and the more colourful elements of youthful hijinks, the promo depicts young people doing what young people do best: having fun. Exploring abandoned places, playing sports and hitting up the fair at night is all standard fare for the cast in this video, but the smiles on their faces seem melancholic when contrasted with the sad nostalgia of the track and the slow-motion pacing of the edit - as if trying to hang onto every moment for as long as possible.
