The Fitzcarraldo Sessions' Alice & Lewis by Duckeye

The Fitzcarraldo Sessions are a French musical collective featuring, among others, Phoebe Kildeer of Nouvelle Vague and Craig Walker of Archive. The video for their track Alice & Lewis from the new album We Hear Voices is by Kate and Jey of Duckeye for Rokkit in Paris, and it's an hypnotic exercise in abstract imagery, created by a complicated process of filming, animating, projecting and filming again.

"Everything in the video was either filmed or drawn, then edited using After Effects and projected into a tank of water into which we poured ink, milk and powder paints which interacted with the the shafts of light from the projector," say Duckeye. "Multiple takes where then overlayed, mirrored and colour-corrected in post to create the final piece." The Fitzcarraldo Sessions feat Moriarty
Alice & Lewis (soon will come too soon ) (Green United Music)
Direction: Duckeye
Prod co: Rokkit Paris
Production: Caroline Ray
DoP: Duckeye
