Tom Patrick Coley helms an intense comedy-horror&nbsp;for London-based Texan songwriter Anna Roenigk - aka Born Again Virgin - set at an awards ceremony for a salespeople of a pyramid scheme&nbsp;in the mid-Nineties, where things take a dark turn indeed.&nbsp;&nbsp;In the video for Bird of Prey,&nbsp;Roenigk plays a charismatic yet obnoxious host, presenting the awards to a pool of overenthusiastic salespeople. With a mixed media approach, blending cinematic footage with&nbsp;lo-fi VHS segments, the video is a&nbsp;riotous and melodramatic affair, cutting between the narrative and the artist's performance of the track.And it all culminates in a satisfyingly bloody climax, when the&nbsp;prizewinner (played by Sarah Tiplady) lets emotions get the better of her...[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;[imgtoken data:2]&nbsp;

Greg Houston - aka Babysweet - brings a cinematic sensibility to bear on his stirring performance video for irish threepiece Kingfishr.The video for Anyway builds from the band's journey on the back of a flatbed truck in a dramatic forest setting, locked in a brooding tension - to the climactic scene around a roaring bonfire, with the trio uniting in performance of the song.&nbsp;"As a director I feel a real bond with Kingfishr as they contacted me directly about doing a live session just months after they first formed," says Babysweet. "I agreed to do it and was blown away. They were as naturally talented, authentic and green as they come. I knew good things would happen for them if they kept going and they truly have.[imgtoken data:1]"It was by coincidence OB Management asked me to pitch on their new single and I was fully on board. Meeting their families and seeing where they literally live on the live session planted the idea for this video. It's based around the concept of leaving where you are most comfortable because you feel an urge to share something with a wider circle."There are always reasons not to do something. To stay where you are, stay in your lane. I tried to get the idea of the band leaving for the new frontiers that their music is destined but showing that it happens not without self doubt but when the lads all together they can and surely will conquer it."

Wash has&nbsp;announced the appointment of Chris Bell as senior colourist at the London-based colour and VFX studio.Bell arrives at Wash with him an extensive body of work, for a wide variety of clients across both short and long form projects - including Ferrari, National Geographic, Swarovski – to music heavyweights like Dave.Outside of the darkness of the grading suite, Bell is a renowned outdoors type:&nbsp;he’s a rugby nut, a keen cyclist and is very at home noodling around his garden, which provides the perfect backdrop to boast his outdoor cooking skills learned in the BBQ states of America: Texas and New Orleans.Jon Dobson, Wash's founder &amp; lead colourist says:&nbsp;"It’s the start of an exciting chapter ahead here at Wash, with new team members, clients and projects. Chris is a fantastic addition to the colour team here and is settling in nicely. Colin Solal Cardo follows his <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2022/11/21/kimbra-replay-colin-solal-cardo/79358">hypnotic promo for Kimbra</a> with something much more down to Earth, in this breezy, uplifting&nbsp;piece&nbsp;for&nbsp;Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.&nbsp;The video for Easy Now features Milly Alcock (of&nbsp;House Of Dragons fame), and sees her character move from despair to euphoria, as she tears up the streets of London.Watched over by Gallagher himself - who chills on the sidelines, in a brief yet very welcome cameo - the video is anchored by a wonderful performance from Alcock, as she jumps on cars, disrupts groups of pigeons and eventually does a victorious run down the middle of the road, full of glee.&nbsp;A poignant concept which cements the fact that music has the ability to transcend, elevate and pull you out of yourself on the darkest of days.[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

Thea Gajic&nbsp;directs a heartwarming promo for singer-songwriter Mychelle.The video opens with a single dad - played by Michael Balogun -&nbsp;juggling the cooking and washing up on his birthday, appreciative of the well wishes via text message, but obviously lacking the social excitement he is longing for.That all changes when his friends shop up and throw a surprise birthday party, helping lift the mood and celebrate the day the way it should be. It's a simple concept done well, and offers an optimistic and joyful message. Plus what we all need right now... a&nbsp;happy ending.Thea Gajic explains that her idea for the video was the result of combining two separate briefs that Mychelle had in mind. "We wanted joy to be a through thread of the video to match the feeling the song evokes while also leaning into the lyrics - which actually have a more sombre meaning," she says.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]"I wanted to focus on community and the joy we create when we show up for each other - amidst this though, we can still feel quite lonely. Especially if we are going through a transition period. I spoke to Michael, our lead, about imagining if this was the first birthday he was celebrating without his partner - as a single dad - and what feelings they may evoke."I have a lot of close male friends - lots who are fathers too - and so wanted to explore that narrative as opposed to it always being a single mother situation. How do men deal with parenting pressure? And feelings of aloneness? It’s something we either don’t see or don’t feel they have a right to because of how hard mothering might be. I wanted to dip into that a little and see what came out of it.&nbsp;"In the end though, when Michael sees his son asleep - he realises he isn’t actually alone and a piece of him is with him all the time - despite how difficult things might get. Ultimately, the tightrope he is on, isn’t walked on alone."&nbsp;
