Following the breathtaking video&nbsp;for <a href="http://Florence + The Machine 'King' by Autumn de Wilde">King</a>, Autumn de Wilde continues her collaboration with Florence + The Machine in&nbsp;this untamed promo for Heaven Is Here.&nbsp;Taking things back to where they started in the previous video, Florence appears with the same group of dancers,&nbsp;this time appearing as one of them,&nbsp;losing the purple shroud and the supernatural aura of her previous incarnation.&nbsp;The performance is feral, impulsive and assertive, and the overall atmosphere&nbsp;feels incredibly raw and authentic. This is certainly the&nbsp;spiritual successor to King, which feels otherworldly and transcendent whilst building upon the abstract narrative and themes of the music.&nbsp;As mentioned in our review of the King,&nbsp;many of the people involved in making the&nbsp;video, from the Ukranian production company Radioaktive and other freelance film crew, are&nbsp;now fighting for the survival of their country, and their lives. Our prayers are with them and their fellow citizens.

Florence + The Machine returns and reunites with Autumn de Wilde, with the epic video for King - steeped in religious imagery and most poignantly filmed in Kyiv weeks before Ukraine was plunged into war.Florence Welch appears to a troubled young man (played by Jack Riddiford) as a floating vision in a purple shroud, in the manner of the Virgin Mary. From this gripping beginning,&nbsp;de Wilde allows an extraordinary set-piece to play out, with the help of choreographer Ryan Heffington and a visual effects department led by Denis Reva.Florence is joined by her female followers within the grounds of a half-built building, and she and her disciplines eventually, breathtakingly, take to the air, reflecting the characteristically Florence-like nature of the song, striving for a higher,&nbsp;transcendent level.[imgtoken data:1]It's the second time Autumn de Wilde has worked with Florence + The Machine, following the UKMVA-winning video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2018/06/22/florence-machine-big-god-autumn-de-wilde/53767" target="_blank">Big God</a>. This shares the exquisitely composed quality of that video, on a more ambitious scale, and also that strong sense of female solidarity&nbsp;between Florence and a group of dancers who become personalities in themselves once they arrive on screen.&nbsp;A powerful video. But now&nbsp;many of the people involved in making the video, from the production company Radioaktive and other freelance film crew, are&nbsp;now fighting for the survival of their country, and their lives. Arlo Parks's first new song since the release of her hugely successful debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams comes with a luminous visual by directing duo Zhang + Knight - their first&nbsp;music video since <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2021/01/14/london-grammar-lose-your-head-zhang-knight/68950" target="_blank">London Grammar's Lose Your Head</a> a year ago.For Softly -&nbsp;a song about "how fragile you feel in the dying days of a relationship when you’re still desperately in love" according to Parks -&nbsp;the directing team create a version of&nbsp;the real world which slowly unravels, layer by layer.What initially looks like an idealised, picture perfect&nbsp;location is gradually decontructed. The early sense of the singer being in a mid-century studio movie or musical is gradually undercut, as the staging is revealed and comes apart at the seams, leaving the constituent elements floating in surreal space.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]The marvel is that like their previous successful works for Eden and aforementioned London Grammar, everything is created in-camera - in this case at a film studio in Kiev."For us 'Softly' explored the idea of wanting something that was once perfect to end in a gentle way, and we wanted to express this using the world surrounding Arlo," explain Zhang and Knight. "We were instinctively drawn to the warm toned, hazy nostalgia of the 1960's, as we loved the idea of something universally romantic being slowly stripped away throughout the film."We based the colours of the bricks, trims and doors on mid-century painting in order to bake this romanticism into everything. The production itself was a huge challenge, as everything was captured in-camera with each piece of the set built on wheels operated by several production crew. However, we knew it was all worth it when we saw the skyscrapers dancing around Arlo for the first time."

Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes return with Lift Off,&nbsp;a song that infuses jazz and funk through modern sensibilities, complete with a lovely video from&nbsp;Douglas Bernardt documenting their live performance of the track&nbsp;with Rocco Palladino, shot on 16mm film in Kiev.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Adolpho Veloso utilises drawn-out Steadicam&nbsp;shots, which float through the warmly-lit studio as an&nbsp;orange&nbsp;sun orbits the artists&nbsp;on a track. In the background, a couple are performing choreography as the guitar and bass lines crescendo to an addicting groove.It's a simple and clear concept, and Bernardt finds the magic within the hypnotic performances.&nbsp;

Paranoia takes hold in&nbsp;Douglas Bernardt's thrilling vision for Tom Misch &amp; Yussef Dayes.&nbsp;Traversing an&nbsp;subway station in Kiev, the lead character - played by&nbsp;Demian Piatakov -&nbsp;snaps his neck back and forth, trying to catch a glimpse of the eyes trained on him. Everyday people morph into threatening figures as they glare and gossip, and all Piatakov can do is keep walking.Moments later, Piatakov is running through&nbsp;a vast forest, representing his confused emotions and the labyrinth that is his mind. Inside this world, he has a chance to pause and consider his surroundings, a juxtaposition to the dark&nbsp;city and its cacophony of noise and violence.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Adolpho Veloso contrasts the two locations through considered lighting and composition:&nbsp;the forest shots utilise slow zooms and breathtaking natural lighting, whilst the train has pulsing artificial light and lots of close-ups. A judicious use of VFX add a huge amount of production value to the project, and help create the haunting and ethereal world inside the character's mind.&nbsp;

The spirituality of dance and movement, and what it means to be alive,&nbsp;is explored in&nbsp;Sebastian Strasser's ambitious video for Hot Chip's Positive.&nbsp;Shot in Kiev, the visual focuses on a group of young adults who are working hard to survive on the streets, finding pockets of respite through dancing and letting loose. In another narrative strand, a priest is seen visiting different locations and blessing unusual things - soldiers and their guns, car engines, and even dolphins.&nbsp;As the video progresses the two strands start to merge, as the action in one scenario is mirrored in the other.Beautifully shot by&nbsp;Autumn Durald Arkapaw, the raw aesthetic is very documentary-like, capturing life as it happens without obsessing about lighting or composition. The story is the main character here, and the strong performances across the board help bring it to life with passion and authenticity.

The result is a remarkable, spectacular, screwball epic, Sam Pilling's most ambitious video to date.At first this is very much like the wonderful Apollo 11 movie - a tapestry of stock footage of the era. Jorja Smith plays a contract killer who faces a moral dilemma when she&#39;s hired to kill the man she loves, in Hector Dockrill&#39;s dark tale for our times.Filmed in Kiev&#39;s historic October Palace - in 2013-2014 it was occupied by protestors in the Euromaidan conflict and served as a makeshift hospital - the setting helps to create a sense of Bond-style intrigue and danger, while the&nbsp;apparent amorality chimes with grim events chronicled in TV shows like McMafia.And if you&#39;re a little uncertain of the fate of the innocent victim, Stormzy&#39;s cameo appearance at the end seems to answer that question. It&#39;s certainly not&nbsp;a case of romantic &#39;happy-ever-afters&#39;.

This fictional United Nations meeting is more of the same; only the representatives of the US and UK are both lipsyncing the stream of poetic invective coming&nbsp;from the Run The Jewels rappers, at each other. It&#39;s&nbsp;Killer Mike Vs El-P. Nation Vs Nation.Of course, just like in the real UN things escalate quickly into an all-out, heavily coordinated fistfight. Eventually the singer decides we&#39;ve overstayed our welcome&nbsp;and his tailor makes sure to shut the&nbsp;door&nbsp;in our face.For the rest of the night, Murs is the centre of attention amongst dozens of girls,&nbsp;flirting&nbsp;with each and every one of them. Luckily for him, they&#39;ve&nbsp;made the task&nbsp;all the more feasible by forming a near, rotating&nbsp;circle around him. And the video ends as it began, with Olly getting his &#39;people&#39; to kick us out.... Apparently we&#39;re just not cool enough for this particular <a href="http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=taco+fest" target="_blank">taco fest</a>.
