"She’s one of the UK’s most exciting artists at the moment, so I knew this music video needed to be big, high fashion and iconic."The idea behind Pressure came from walking around east London and seeing corporate buildings empty during the pandemic. I loved the idea of taking over the corporate space. A big reference was Michael Jackson’s Bad -&nbsp;we wanted this to be a choreography heavy video.[imgtoken data:2]"Shooting on 16mm with Olan Collardy, we took a lot of references from fashion editorials and wanted to capture a high fashion vintage feel. Bree’s gravity-defying hair pull moment was also a reference to the smooth criminal lean but had sexy undertones."Working with the incredible stylist Anna Trevelyan we had custom-made latex from Atsuko Kudo which played with the whole idea of Bree being the boss.”

To celebrate the fifty year anniversary of his seminal 1970 album Tea for the Tillerman, Yusuf/Cat Stevens has reimagined it's tracks for 2020 - including a more laidback, jazzier&nbsp;version of the album's biggest hit Wild World. Now Effie Pappa has visualised the new recording, drawing inspiration from the classic 1940s movie Casablanca, and reminding us that&nbsp;even the toughest days can be brightened by the optimistic perspective of youth.Pappa conjures up an atmospheric club, like Rick's Bar in Casablanca, but with kids playing the roles of Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Dooley Wilson, and others. A card game between two of the young characters is the jumping off point for depictions of the just how wild the world can be, and always has been - with newsreel footage from around the same time period intercutting the scenes in the club.&nbsp;Rendering a modern day filter on the 1940s story reveals how different yet how similar some of the global issues we now face. But ultimately&nbsp; as the young leads get togethe in a aircraft witnessing an animated dog fight, the WW2-era world dissipates, as they find themselves having tea in space, and drifting&nbsp;towards the heavens in a symbol of hope.[imgtoken data:1]Packed with visual imagination and wonder, Pappa's&nbsp;video is also a product of the conditions imposed by the pandemic: developed and produced remotely between the UK and Greece, where the shoot took place. In many ways, the video itself is a&nbsp;testament to the spirit of optimism in the new world we find ourselves in.And Yusuf/Cat says of the film: “It shows how much we need art to direct our thoughts sometimes towards inexpressible goals; to relive early childlike innocence and keep our eyes of hope open beyond the clouds of war and darkness.”

Royal Blood come roaring back, with a suitably powerful visual accompaniment to the rousing, very catchy&nbsp;Trouble's Coming by Lx.Combining both performance and elements of narrative, Lx draws upon the band's visual history to make something fresh. So there's a sketched storyline involving with a brooding threat of violence - and involving the RB boys Mike and Ben finally setting off in their vintage Cortina GXL. That's blended with a performance by the duo which is slick and stylised - and, crucially, it's as viscerally&nbsp;engaging as the narrative.&nbsp;&nbsp;In a departure from his usual stamping ground of hip hop and grime, Lx shows that his strength in delivering charismatic performances, within a framework of strongly art directed and VFX-enhanced set-ups translates extremely well for the Brighton-based duo's banging rock tune. No trouble at all.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Working together for a fourth time, Louis Tomlinson and director Charlie Lightening head to Morroco for Walls, the title track of the artist's debut album.&nbsp;Surrounded by breathtaking desert landscapes, Tomlinson is traversing the terrain to reach a mysterious door. Taking inspiration from surrealist art, the door is a gateway to a variety of offbeat locations and situations, including a ballroom dance and an ever so slightly creepy setup with masked characters and threatening red lighting.&nbsp;One part narrative and one part conceptual performance, the surreal interpretation of art and design is fresh territory for the singer-songwriter, but an environment&nbsp;he seems to very much thrive in. Ever vibrant and excited to stretch himself as a performer, Tomlinson dives head first into the various vignettes, embodying an aura of calm and clarity as he riffs on tearing down his emotional walls to give himself another chance at love.&nbsp;
