The entry deadline for over 30 categories at the UK Music Video Awards 2018 has been now extended. 

There is now just over a week from today (July 30th) to enter the UK Music Video Awards 2018. All work must be uploaded to the judging platform by the final deadline at midnight (BST) on August 7th. 

To enter a video to be considered for a music genre, technical achievement, live or interactive award, go to the video entry page at the UKMVAs 2018 website, click on the category you wish to enter. Then you will be directed to fill in the online entry form, pay the entry fee (GB£75 + VAT per entry) and upload the video to the online judging platform, ready for the first round of judging for this year’s MVAs.

If you wish to submit a person to one of the individual awards at the MVAs - for Best Director, Producer, New Director, Commissioner, or Artist – for their body of work in music video for the past year, and also a company for the Best Production Company award, please go to the individual entry page at the UKMVAs 2018 website, and click the category you wish to enter. Again you will be directed towards the entry form, pay the fee, then add the name of the individual, individuals, or music act you wish to submit for judging, adding links to their work.

There are 15 Best Video categories to choose from, for music videos of all types and budgets made in the past year, completed and approved between August 1st 2017, to July 31st 2018. Each music genre – Pop, Dance, Urban, Rock and Alternative, has its own UK, International and Newcomer award (the latter for a video made for under GB£6K, designed to recognise newcomer directing talent). In addition, there are category for Best Interactive video and Best Live Video.

There are eight technical achievement categories: Animation, Cinematography, Choreography, Colour Grading, Editing, Production Design, Styling, and VFX. A full list of awards and their rules of entry can also be found at the UKMVAs website. The extended deadline for entries to midnight (BST) on August 7th is the absolute final deadline for entries. No new entries can be accepted after the final deadline has passed.
