GERIKO sign with COMPULSORY

GERIKO sign with COMPULSORY

David Knight - 18th Jan 2017

GERIKO, the French-Belgian directing duo comprised of Hélène Jeudy and Antoine Caëcke, who have made a big impact with their animated video for Lorn's Anvil, have signed to COMPULSORY in London for representation in music videos and commercials in the UK.

The Paris-based pair come from a background in graphic design, illustration and animation, working both individually for a number of years before establishing their collective identity and aesthetic. Prior to making the Lorn video, they gained widespread attention for their video for Rubasci's Flood - an animation set in a palace, containing live action paintings.

GERIKO's graphic style, influenced by Japanese manga and anime and Belgian comic book art, is created in a combination of 2D, 3D and traditional animation. They were given free rein by Lorn to create a video for one of the tracks from his latest album, spending months on the video for Anvil, where they created a futuristic world in immense detail, and chart a female's experience of invasive technology.

Kadri Mahmoud, Partner and Head of Production at COMPULSORY says: "We're really excited to have GERIKO join our roster. In a short space of a year, they've proved to be great contenders in the field of animation and fusing their style with COMPULSORY's approach to live action, we'll be sure to see some innovative new work."
