Ja Ja Ja Festival – Nordic festival in London discusses music videos on Saturday

The second Ja Ja Ja Festival starts today, November 13th, bringing the best and most innovative Nordic music, food and film to London - and including a panel featuring top Scandinavian music video directors Ola Martin Fjeld, André Chocron and Daniel Kragh Jacobsen and artist Jenny Wilson on Saturday moderated by David Knight of Promo News.

This year’s festival takes place across two venues, with extended versions of the Ja Ja Ja club night at The Lexington (November 13th-14th) in Kings Cross, before an all-day celebration at Queen Mary University’s Great Hall in Mile End on Saturday November 15th.

On top of an extraordinarily diverse 15-strong line-up of acts and bands - ranging from Emiliana Torrini, Jenny Wilson and Highasakite to Asbjørn, Rytmeklubben and Fufanu - festival goers will also be invited to savour the culinary delights of award-winning chef and restaurateur Antto Melasniemi, to try their hand at DJ-ing courtesy of the groundbreaking Femme-Beat DJ school and enjoy a programme of screenings curated by the Nordic Music Video Awards. 

On Saturday at the Great Hall alongside a special limited-entry screening of Bjork’s Biophilia: Live, and a programme of screenings and discussions from the Nordic Music Video Awards, including a panel featuring Ola Martin Fjeld, Norwegian director and founder of the Nordic Music Video Awards, to be followed by a panel featuring fellow directors André Chocron and Daniel Kragh Jacobsen and, before her main stage appearance, the artist Jenny Wilson, talking to David Knight about the current state of music video creativity in the Nordic countries.
