There's less than one week left to enter work in the majority of the categories in the UK Music Video Awards 2012, with the deadline coming this Friday (August 3rd).
The music genre categories for Best Pop, Dance, Indie/Rock, Alternative and Urban - which include sub-categories for UK, international and budget videos - have seen entries pouring in from home and abroad. But there's still time to get your videos in front of the judges.
In the Technical categories, there is the usual wide range of awards to celebrate the art and craft of music video production, including art direction and design, choreography, cinematography, telecine, animation, visual effects and styling.
Additional categories in contention include:
?Best Live Music Coverage This category is for the best direction of a live music performance from the last year;
?Best Music Ad - TV or Online
This award honours the most creative piece of moving image promotion for a music artist, product, company or service produced in the UK in the past year, or outside the UK for a British commissioning client.
?Innovation Award This award recognizes work that extends the definition of the medium of music video, either through an innovative concept or design, or through the innovative use of technology. The Innovation Award is open to both UK and international entries.
All of the contending work must have been completed and delivered to the commissioning client between August 1st 2011 and July 31st 2012.
The entry deadline is this Friday, August 3rd. So make sure you've given yourself plenty of time to complete the online entry forms and upload your work by the deadline. The cost per entry is £65 + VAT.
