Entry deadline for the UK Music Video Awards 2012 in a wide range of categories is now two weeks away.

The deadline to enter videos in the best video, technical achievement, music ad, live coverage and innovation categories is on Friday, August 3rd.

Once again at the MVAs - the premier awards show celebrating the best work in music videos from the UK and around the world - there are honours for best British, International and Budget video in each music genre: Pop, Dance, Urban, Indie/Rock, and Alternative. There are also eight awards recognising technical excellence, plus honours for live coverage, music ad and innovation. The new UK Music Video Awards 2012 website now accepting entries for the following honours:

Best pop video - UK, international, budget
Best indie/rock video - UK, international, budget
Best alternative video - UK, international, budget
Best dance video - UK, international, budget
Best urban video - UK, international, budget
Best animation in a video
Best art direction and design in a video
Best choreography in a video
Best cinematography in a video (sponsored by Panalux) Best editing in a video
Best styling in a video
Best telecine in a video
Best visual effects in a video
The innovation award
Best live coverage
Best music ad - TV or online

All entered work must have been completed and delivered to its commissioner between August 1st 2011 and July 31st 2012 - so work completed and approved in the next ten days will be eligible for this year's MVAs.

Following the submission deadline, judging will begin for this year's UK Music Video Awards, with invited MVA Jury Members judging all the entries via the MVAs new online voting platform in the first round of judging. A second round of judging will follow where jury panels will meet to judge shortlisted work. Nominations for the UK Music Video Awards 2012 will be announced in early October, ahead of the ceremony at The Empire in Leicester Square on November 8th.
