BUG 10: CSS’s Move by Keith Schofield

BUG 10: CSS’s Move by Keith Schofield

David Knight - 8th Dec 2008

Keith Schofield was the special guest at BUG 10, coming all the way from LA to appear on the show... well, not really. He was shooting an ad with Caviar in Belgium, and hopped on the Eurostar to spend a few hours in London and submit to Adam Buxton's unique brand of questioning.

He was shooting an ad with Caviar in Belgium, and hopped on the Eurostar to spend a few hours in London and submit to Adam Buxton's unique brand of questioning. Among Keith's work shown at BUG was his recent video for CSS's Move, which includes the various elements why his stuff is so damn good: he combines lovely lightheartedness with 'how did you do that' technical stuff. In fact the impossibility of the technical stuff is the source of most of the visual fun in Move - and it just goes to show that too many of those late, lamented Polaroids can be bad for your health. Keith explains his cheeky riff on false perspective tourist photos in his treatment, and he talked to 6 Music about making the video too. More work by Keith shown at BUG 10 was one of his first videos, for One Block Radius's Loud And Clear, his recent 'porn film' viral for Diesel xXx (a variation on Eric Wareheim's Flying Lotus video) and his clip for Supergrass's Bad Blood - best rock video at the recent UK Music Video Awards. http://uk.youtube.com/watchv=BF5LlKPVYkk[/youtube]
