Shot on location in London & Jakarta, Craig Murray unveils an exhaustive fast-edited montage of striking imagery with various cool animated techniques including stop motion in this quite wonderful promo for Blood Red Shoes.
Craig explains: “I don’t use After Effects, so the visual effects and animation were achieved via four processes: long exposure, zoom animation, stop motion drawing using tracing paper on the screen, folded paper and photocopy animation (moved as png’s frame by frame in FCP) and on location – physical animation”.
