Training under some rather grand music video figures – including Dave Meyers, Chris Milk and Ace Norton – new director Kyle Padilla has delivered a grand pop video for Dutch-Aussie DJ team-up Nicky Romero and NERVO’s Like Home, to match the quality of many of his older peers, including some slick action sequences and polished performance. Not bad for someone who only graduates later this year!

It comes after Kyle had produced a Steve Aoki video directed by Ace Norton and co-directed the video for Hook N Sling and NERVO’s Reason, establishing his credentials with the US DJ scene, and he says: “NERVO had enjoyed working with me on Reason so they were pulling for me to win this gig. As spokespersons for global brands such as CoverGirl and Franklin & Marshall, I had a big responsibility to live up to their reputations as artists.

“Initially, they loved the idea but were VERY nervous about parts of the video that would require them to do things that they had never done before such as lip-syncing. Luckily, the project was a huge success as both clients, NERVO and Nicky Romero, were thrilled by the end result.”
