Reuben Dangoor’s mesmerizing new video for Diplo’s Butters Theme features multiples of saucily-garbed girls – cool styling from Jessica mae and Marika Ames – shaking their stuff against a background of 80’s sunset colours – a highly impressive exercise is After Effects, with Gabriel Ayache as VFX artist and co-director, culminating in a Cyriak-style kaleidoscopic climax…
The single coincides with the launch of Diplo’s YouTube channel. Meanwhile, Reuben has been working with Etta Bond and Raf Riley signed to Odd Child for their last two releases – Boring Bitches and Resolve – and he also did the artwork for Labrinth’s Atomic EP released at the end of last year.
