Charlie & Joe have delivered an intriguing promo for Jamie Cullum’s Love For Sale featuring Roots Manuva – this is their director’s cut – with a compelling performance from East Enders star Larry Lamb as a man going door-to-door in inner-city London, offering to perform very special service.
In fact he’s peddling a deal worthy of Mephistopheles in the service of a heartless Mr Big played by another great British character actor, Struan Rodger. It’s a dark tale that plays well with Cullum’s modern reworking of a jazz standard – and it comes with a satisfying twist.
