Taken from their Adiós Sancho album, Los Coronas join forces with Paloma Zapata for the promo to first single Rockaway Surfers in which 3 ladies enjoy a scenic road trip across central Spain.

“The idea was to create a Road Movie with reminiscences of the B Movies of the 60s and 70s with a strong Spanish hallmark” explains Paloma. “The trip is carried out through the central “deep Spain” landscape: the arid tableland of the Aragón territory in the middle of the Monegros desert. The location is in harmony with the symbols hidden in the plot.

“We see the Osborne bull, regarded as the unofficial trademark of Spain. The bull, together with the typical roadside bar with objects inside such as a stuffed fox, make reference to the traditional Spanish “macho”, exaggerated and ridiculed in the video with the fetish dolls, a decrepit owner and two self-confident girls.

“The three characters, plaid by established actors in the Spanish film scene, as well as the plot are thoroughly developed. This is why the band is not on the scene; the music video makes a parallel with a short-film”.
