Xilent ‘Boss Wave’ by Kristofer Ström
Wednesday, 23. January 2013 - 2:45 pm
Up to now, Kristofer Ström has restricted his highly imaginative, darkly humourous, supremely violent music videos for hardcore dubstep tracks to drawn animation – like 16-bit’s Dinosaurs and Delta Heavy’s Call Me. No longer!
Kristofer has now stepped up to CGI for his latest wubwub video extravaganza, for upcoming dubstep producer Xilent’s Boss Wave. In fact, with the help of CG animation experts Erik Buchholtz and Mikael Pettersén, he’s created a high octane action thriller combining live action and slick CG – and taken that trademark Ström taste for blood and gore to a new level.
The starting point is one guy’s obsession with a retro 8 bit video game, which runs so deep he transfers the killer robot hero and game action to the real world. And then the fun starts… and it’s boss.
